What this means for you and your child
By declining, you have opted out of the following services. Each one is something we believe adds real value to your child’s learning journey, so please read them carefully so you understand exactly what is no longer available.

Loss of Benchmark and remedial work assignment.
Your child’s assigned teacher will no longer be able to quickly and efficiently assign Benchmark tests and remedial work that is specifically targeted to your child’s current gaps. Without this, your child receives a more generic MobyMax experience rather than one tailored to their progress.

Loss of detailed End of Term Reports.
You will no longer receive our comprehensive End of Term Reports. These reports include subject-by-subject progress across Math, Reading, Language and other areas; total time spent learning; standards and lessons passed; grade level achieved per subject; effort analysis showing how consistently your child is engaging; and your teacher’s personal blended comment on your child’s growth, strengths and areas to work on.

Loss of Weekly Reports and progress dashboard.
You will no longer receive the weekly report email summarising your child’s past week, and you will no longer have access to the detailed Weekly Reports portal where you can review your child’s grade levels, time spent, and trends over time.

Loss of Celebration emails.
You will no longer receive our Celebration emails which highlight your child’s achievements during the previous week — Benchmarks passed, new grade levels reached, and standards completed. These emails are designed to recognise and reinforce your child’s progress.

Loss of Parent Resources portal access.
You will no longer have access to our Parent Resources portal which includes Daily Essentials checklists; Getting Started guides for new users; Weekly Timetables and the Language Placement Screener; Progress & Monitoring guides; Benchmark test request guidance; Learning Support tools (motivation strategies, stationery checklists, and 70+ learning activities for ages 2+); and MobyMax troubleshooting support.
What happens to your data
- We stop sending reports, dashboards, and emails for your child from today, and your reporting portal login is deactivated.
- Your child’s reporting data is kept in our systems (unused for reporting) while they remain enrolled, and is deleted within 90 days of them leaving the service.
- For school learners, end-of-term academic reports are kept for 7 years, as education law requires (South African Schools Act and provincial education legislation), even after the child leaves.
- If you want your records removed sooner, email info@mobymaxreports.co.za. We can delete data held in our own systems; please note that learning data held within the MobyMax platform is subject to MobyMax’s own retention and cannot be guaranteed deleted (see our Privacy Policy).
What is NOT affected
- Your child’s MobyMax learning access is not affected by declining our reporting service. We manage your child’s MobyMax login under our account, and it stays active for their schoolwork for as long as their MobyMax fees are paid (whether by subscription or by direct payment to the school). Only our reporting, dashboards, and emails stop.
